10. Collect Change (if applicable):
If you paid with cash and inserted more than the exact fare, the machine will dispense any change that's due.
11. Use the Ticket or Card:
To enter the subway system, swipe your MetroCard or insert your Single-Ride ticket into the turnstile. The green light on the turnstile will indicate that you can go through.
12. Keep the Ticket or Card Safe:
Hold on to your MetroCard or Single-Ride ticket throughout your subway trip to exit through the turnstile at your destination.
